June Gloom - some kind of normal

Weather is always more unpredictable in June - so it's luck to have a clear morning. Monday painting at the Mission was nice. I had never painted the actual Mission before - too much of an icon - but I have painted all around there - the park and rose garden, the ruins, the gardens and pond. I had a nice view for a small painting.

mission from across the road, 8"x6" oil on panel

I'm also a bit hooked on painting Flowers now too -

An open rose, 8"x6" oil on gessoed paper

cactus blossom, oil on yupo, 9"x12"

An experiment with the secondary triad colors of orange, green and violet.
